Attention old or fat rehabbing pitchers.
Stop coming here. We(the fans) don't want you to keep breaking our hearts by strolling into town with high hopes of you turning it around here in Boston and being forever grateful to the Sox for giving you that last chance you so rightfully deserve and then frigging stinking up the joint and running away to the NL only to dominate, which in case you weren't looking at your stats in the AL is the exact opposite of what you were doing here. It's not funny. Everyone REACHED to try and find positives about Smoltz that were never there. "He retired 7 in a row at one point." Yes, to go with the 5 he let score in the second. Now Penny goes to the only thing weaker than the NL Central, the NL west, and Pwn3d the Phils. 8 effing innings of shutout ball against the defending champs. Christ. Next time Theo has some brain fart about bringing a washed up starter here I'm going to break out the ol waterboard and make him squirm.
Oh yeah, Sox lost last night. Wasn't necessarily because of Sir Spits-a-lot, but Beckett wasn't at his best (again) and eventually the pen collapsed. The Rays walk the bases loaded with 1 out and all the Sox get out of it is one run on a wild pitch. It was that type of game towards the end. Let's do 2 out of 3 down there because the effin Yanks still aren't losing.

A couple weeks ago I was thinking if Theo makes the call for a pitcher to join the Red Sox to help get them to the post-season, the pitchers should run the other way...'cause it's like the worst move for their career. Now hearing about Smoltz & Penny, I start to wonder if that curse thing ever really went away....
But Beckett got it back!! I blame the bullpen (2nd best in the AL) for the broken pile of glass on my living room floor which used to be my framed picture of the 2004 World Series winners. And poor Wally - he's out in the front yard somewhere; haven't found him yet...either the neighbor kid scooped him or he was dragged off by some skunk or fox or raccoon or whatever...poor Wally...
