Eck-baby

Well, the next generation of blogging has been born.
All of us at the Cheese want to congratulate Educated Jon on his new baby last week. We expect he's already teaching the kid about the ways of the "cheese" and "hair"... and making fun of JD Drew. Congrats and all the best.

Dreams are coming true. Oh, hi.

The Cheese has some issues, some contractual issues with our website, which is why there are probably only 3 of you reading this. We're trying to get them solved, but to be quite blunt it's purely financial.

Anyways, to be short with it, today it appears the Sox finally made a deal for Adrian Gonzalez and sweet f*cking Jesus is this a shot in the arm. Losing Texiererea to the Yanks was a huge blow for The Sox and we all knew it, and now getting A-Gon for 3 minor leaguers is a huge step in the right direction. Sure he doesn't appear to have the charisma of some other big names but I'll let Henry and Werner worry about selling merch. He's a big lefty first baseman that is going to crush the sh*t out of the ball in Fenway and for that we should all be grateful.

Oh, and since Werth and Crawford both play the OF there's plenty of room for one of them too...

30 for 30: Best Hour of TV Ever?

Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush. Steve and I are pretty much in hibernation at this point. It's getting cold, the playoffs have started Sox-less, the Pats are on BYE this week, that leaves us with very little. HOWEVER, tonight we had 30 for 30: 4 Days In October over on ESPN. Overall I don't suggest watching much on ESPN but these 30 for 30 documentaries are pretty kick ass and "4 Days In October" is 60 of the best minutes you can possibly spend in front of the TV. From Millar's "Don't let us win tonight" all the way to Damon's grand slam in game 7, it's goosebump city for all 60 minutes and at least 10 or 15 after. Sure, it's living in the past, but right now the past is a pretty sweet place to be.

For your viewing pleasure you can catch it again:

Tuesday Oct 5 :11pm ESPN 2

Thursday Oct 7: 11pm ESPN Classic

Monday Oct 11: 7pm ESPN 2

Sunday Nov 7: 9pm ESPN Classic

Thursday Nov 18: 11pm ESPN Classic
